أيها السادة الكرام:

ليس هذا اليوم كانت جهودُ مصر واضحةً جدًّا في الثقافة العربية بشكل عام، وفي الأدب العربي بشكل خاصٍ، وليس هذا اليوم كذلك كان العديد من الكتّاب المصريين قاموا بتقديم أعمالٍ أدبيّةٍ متنوعةٍ ساهمت في تغيير الأدب العربي وتطويره إلي الشكل الحالي في الوطن العربي كله وفي الوطن الأفريقي علي وجه خاصٍ، بل كلّ هذه المجهودات العلمية والثقافية تعود إلي زمن قديم في ذاكرة التاريخ.

ثم ليس من شك كذلك أن موقع مصر الجغرافي كنقطة وصلٍ ما بين القارة الأسيوية والأفريقية هو ما جعل الأدباء المصريين والكتّاب منهم يتأثرون بالعديد من الحضارات �

Honorable gentlemen:

Not this day that Egypt’s efforts were crystal clear in Arab culture in general, and in Arabic literature in particular. And not this day that many Egyptian writers presented a variety of literary works that contributed in changing Arabic literature and developing it to the current form in the entire Arab world and in the African countries. In particular, all these scientific and cultural efforts dated back to an ancient time in the memory of history.
