CRITICAL APPRAISAL OF THE WORK
Use of styles
Every literacy scholar (adib) has a special style of communication in his writing skill, either field on nathru (prose) or nasm (versification/ poetic composition)
As-Sahili style of reply can be stated in Arabic rhetoric (fannu balaga) as usulub-l-hakim (prudence style). This style means to reject or leave what someone is asking for, and turn another by showing and explaining that what he his actually asking for is not more important.
This style has a solid stand in the noble Quran Allah says:
يسألونك عن الأهلة قل هي مواقيت للناس والحج"
"They ask you (O Muhammad) about the new moons, say are measurement at time for the people and for (pilgrimages)" (q2 v 189)³⁸
According to the hashiyatu al-sawi by Sheikh Muhammad "the kuffar or makkah asked the prophet about the moon crescent, concerning its increase or decrease, Allah replied them with more meritorious answer he unravel the benefits inherent in the moon"³⁹. Allah instructed the Prophet to explain to them the significance of moon pertaining to the measurement of the days, time and pilgrimage.

This work called tahiyah for the reason of ending in the rhyming consonant ta; the whole verse is 115 verses meanwhile wa'fir rhyme used as a measure maters with both hemistiches called sadr and ajusu. Manzumah al-ilbiri or tahiyatul ilbiri can be analyzed with the clew of medieval age scholars in composing poem and ode (qasida) in their own method the exaggeration also present in linking with are quite different
