17. Eng: The nutrient of the soul is the spirit of good qualities, And not about having eaten or drunk.
Yoruba: Ounje emi oun ni mimo Kii se eyi ti onje tabi eyi ti o n mu.
18. Eng: So devote yourself assiduously to it (knowledge) and take it seriously, For if Allah should grant it to you, you would benefit greatly.
Yoruba: Dunni mo mimo yi, kio si gbaa mu pelu agbiyele tole koko, Ti olohun ba fun e ni mimo ri wipe o fi se anfaani.
19. Eng: And if you are granted the aptitude for it (knowledge), And people say; "you are very knowledgeable indeed.
Yoruba: Ti olohun ba fun e ni opolopo mimo, Ti awon eniyan wa n sope onimimo ni e
20. Eng: Do not feel safe from Allah's question about it, In reproach; "you had knowledge but did you put it into practice?".
Yoruba: Mafi okan bale lori ibeere olohun nipa mimo re yu, Pelu ebibiran wipe onimimo looto nje o lo mimo re yii.
