Wọ́n ń gbé gbogbo arìnrin tó rẹ̀, tó tẹ̀, látàrí ìrìn àjò òwúrọ̀ àti ìrìn òru.

A man whose body hunger has wasted, bent like a cup carved from a spring’s wood.

Ọkùnrin tí ebi ti pa ara rẹ̀, tí ó tẹ̀ bí àkọ̀ tí a ṣe láti igi orísun omi.

He intends the one exalted by the Lord of the heights, when He spread its soil upon foundations.

Ó fẹ́ ìlú tí Olúwa gíga yàn, nígbà tí ó tan erupẹ ilẹ̀ rẹ̀ lórí ìpìlẹ̀.

Until when he faced it, he wept, unable to restrain the tears that flowed.

Títí tí ó fi dé sí iwájú rẹ̀, ó bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí í sunkún, kò lè dá omijé dúró.
