I begin with the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, and with the Most Merciful, the ever-perfect in beneficence.

Mo bẹ̀rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú orúkọ Alláhu, Alákéemaní, àti pẹ̀lú Aláàánú, Ẹni tí oore rẹ̀ máa ń wà nígbà gbogbo.

So all praise is due to Allah, the Eternal, the First, the Last, the Ever-Enduring without any change.

Nítorí náà, gbogbo ìyìn jẹ́ ti Alláhu, Atọ́jọ́, Ẹni àkọ́kọ́, Ẹni ìkẹyìn, Ẹni tí ó wà títí láìsí ìyípadà kankan.

Then may eternal prayers and peace be upon the Prophet, the best of those who ever proclaimed Allah's oneness.

Lẹ́yìn náà, àdúrà àti àlàáfíà títí láé máa wà lára Ànábì, Ẹni tí ó dára jù nínú àwọn tí ó ti ṣe ẹ̀rí ọ̀kan-ọ̀kan Ọlọ́run.

And upon his family, his companions, and whoever follows the path of the religion of truth without innovation.

Àti lara ẹbí rẹ̀, àwọn ọrẹ́ rẹ̀, àti ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó bá tọ̀ ọ́n ẹ̀sìn òtítọ́ lọ láìsí àfikún kankan.

And thereafter, know that it is obligatory to have knowledge of the twenty attributes that are necessarily incumbent upon Allah.

Lẹ́yìn èyí, mọ̀ pé ó jẹ́ dandan láti ní ìmọ̀ nípa àwọn ànímọ́ ogún tí ó jẹ́ dandan fún Alláhu.

For Allah is Existent, Eternal, Ever-Enduring, and Absolutely Dissimilar to all creation.

Nítorí pé Alláhu wà, Ó jẹ́ Atọ́jọ́, Ẹni tí ó wà títí, Ó sì yàtọ̀ sí gbogbo ẹ̀dá pátápátá.

And He is Self-Subsisting, Absolutely Self-Sufficient, One, Living, Omnipotent, Willing, and All-Knowing of everything.

Ó sì jẹ́ Alábùkún-fún-ara-rẹ̀, Ọlọ́rọ̀, Ọ̀kan, Alààyè, Alágbára, Olùfẹ́, Ẹni tí ó mọ ohun gbogbo.

All-Hearing, All-Seeing, and the One Who Speaks. For Him are seven attributes that are consistently affirmed.

Olúgbọ́, Olúríran, àti Ẹni tí ń sọ̀rọ̀. Àwọn ànímọ́ méje ni ó ní tí a máa ń fi lélẹ̀ nígbà gbogbo.

Thus: Power, Will, Hearing, Sight, Life, Knowledge, and Speech—which continues on.

Nítorí náà: Agbára, Ìfẹ́, Igbọ́ran, Ríríran, Ìyè, Ìmọ̀, àti Ọ̀rọ̀—tí ó máa ń wà nígbà gbogbo.

And it is permissible—by His grace and His justice—to leave aside any possible thing just as it is permissible to do it.

Ó sì ṣeé ṣe—nípa oore rẹ̀ àti ìdájọ́ òdodo rẹ̀—láti fi ohun tí ó ṣeé ṣe sílẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ bí a ṣe lè ṣe é.
