يَقُولُ رَاجِي رَحْمَةَ الْقَدِيرِ أَيْ أَحْمَدُ الْمَشْهُورُ بِالدَّرْدِيرِ.


English

Says the one hoping for the mercy of the Almighty—that is, Aḥmad, well-known as ad-Dardīr.

Yoruba

Ọ̀rọ̀ ẹni tí ń retí àánú Alágbára—ìyẹn ni Aḥmad, ẹni tí a mọ̀ sí ad-Dardīr.

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْوَاحِدِ الْعَالِمِ الْفَرْدِ الْغَنِيِّ الْمَاجِدِ.


English

All praise is due to Allah, the Most High, the One, the All-Knowing, the Unique, the Self-Sufficient, the Glorious.

Yoruba

Gbogbo ìyìn jẹ́ ti Alláhu, Ẹni Gíga Jù Lọ, Ẹni Ọ̀kan, Onímọ̀-òkè-òkun, Ẹni Àdáyàbà, Ọlọ́rọ̀, Ọlọ́lá.

وَأَفْضَلُ الصَّلَاةِ وَالتَّسْلِيمِ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ الْمُصْطَفَى الْكَرِيمِ.


English

And the best of prayers and peace be upon the Prophet, the Chosen, the Noble.

Yoruba

Àti pé àdúrà àti àlàáfíà tí ó dára jù lọ máa wà lára Ànábì, Ẹni Tí A Yàn, Ọlọ́lá.

وَآلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ الْأَطْهَارِ لَا سِيَّمَا رَفِيقُهُ فِي الْغَارِ.


English

And upon his family and his pure companions—especially his companion in the cave.

Yoruba

Àti lara ẹbí rẹ̀ àti àwọn ọrẹ́ rẹ̀ mímọ́—ní pàtàkì ẹlẹgbẹ́ rẹ̀ nínú ihò.

وَهَذِهِ عَقِيدَةٌ سُنِّيَّةٌ سَمَّيْتُهَا الْخَرِيدَةَ الْبَهِيَّةَ.


English

And this is a Sunnī creed—I have named it "The Radiant Jewel."

Èyí sì ni ìgbàgbọ́ ìsìn Àhlu-s-Sunnah—mo ti pè é ní "Ọ̀ṣọ́ tí Ń Mọ́lẹ̀."

لَطِيفَةٌ صَغِيرَةٌ فِي الْحَجْمِ لَكِنَّهَا كَبِيرَةٌ فِي الْعِلْمِ.


English

Delicate and small in size, but it is great in knowledge.

Yoruba

Rẹ́rẹ́-ún, ó sì kéré ní ìwọ̀n, ṣùgbọ́n ó tóbi nínú ìmọ̀.

تَكْفِيكَ عِلْمًا إِنْ تَرِدْ أَنْ تَكْتَفِي لِأَنَّهَا بِزُبْدَةِ الْفَنِّ تَفِي.


English

It suffices you in knowledge if you desire to be content, for it fulfills with the cream of the discipline.

Yoruba

Ó tó o nínú ìmọ̀ bí o bá fẹ́ ní ìtẹ́lọ́rùn, nítorí pé ó pín pẹ̀lú àkójọpọ̀ yòówù tí ó dára jù nínú ẹ̀kọ́.

وَاللَّهَ أَرْجُو فِي قُبُولِ الْعَمَلِ وَالنَّفْعِ مِنْهَا ثُمَّ غُفْرِ الزَّلَلِ.


English

And I hope in Allah for acceptance of the deed and benefit from it, then forgiveness of slips.

Yoruba

Mo sì ń retí Alláhu fún gbígba iṣẹ́ náà, àti àǹfààní láti ọ̀dọ̀ rẹ̀, lẹ́yìn náà, fún ìdáríjì àṣìṣe.
