عَنْ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَبِي حَفْصٍ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ


English

On the authority of the Commander of the Believers, Abū Ḥafṣ ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say:

Yoruba

Láti ọ̀dọ̀ Ọ̀gá Àwọn Onígbàgbọ́, Abū Ḥafṣ ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb (kí Alláhu ṣe ìdùnnú fún un), tí ó wí pé: Mo gbọ́ Rásúlù Alláhu ﷺ ń wí pé:

إِنَّمَا الْأَعْمَالُ بِالنِّيَّاتِ، وَإِنَّمَا لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مَا نَوَى


English

"Indeed, deeds are (judged) by intentions, and indeed, for every person is what he intended."

Yoruba

"Nítòótọ́, àwọn iṣẹ́ ni a fi ọkàn ṣe, nítòótọ́, olúkúlùkù ẹnìkan yóò rí ohun tí ó pinnu nínú ọkàn rẹ̀."

فَمَنْ كَانَتْ هِجْرَتُهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ فَهِجْرَتُهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ


English

"So whoever's emigration (hijrah) was to Allah and His Messenger, then his emigration is to Allah and His Messenger."

Yoruba

"Nítorí náà, ẹnikẹ́ni tí ìṣíkiri rẹ̀ (hijrah) jẹ́ sí Alláhu àti Rásúlù rẹ̀, lẹ́yìn náà, ìṣíkiri rẹ̀ jẹ́ sí Alláhu àti Rásúlù rẹ̀."

وَمَنْ كَانَتْ هِجْرَتُهُ لِدُنْيَا يُصِيبُهَا أَوِ امْرَأَةٍ يَنْكِحُهَا فَهِجْرَتُهُ إِلَى مَا هَاجَرَ إِلَيْهِ


English

"And whoever's emigration was to attain some worldly gain or to marry a woman, then his emigration is to that which he emigrated for."

Yoruba

"Àti ẹnikẹ́ni tí ìṣíkiri rẹ̀ jẹ́ láti gba èrè ayé kan tàbí láti fẹ́ obìnrin kan, lẹ́yìn náà, ìṣíkiri rẹ̀ jẹ́ sí ohun tí ó ṣíkiri sí."

رَوَاهُ إِمَامَا الْمُحَدِّثِينَ: أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ بَرْدِزْبَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ، وَأَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ مُسْلِمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ الْقُشَيْرِيُّ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ


English

Narrated by the two Imams of hadith scholars: Abū ʿAbdillāh Muḥammad ibn Ismāʿīl ibn Ibrāhīm ibn al-Mughīrah ibn Bardizbah al-Bukhārī, and Abū al-Ḥusayn Muslim ibn al-Ḥajjāj ibn Muslim al-Qushayrī an-Naysābūrī.

Àwọn Ọ̀gá méjì tí ń ṣe àwọn onímọ̀ Hàdísì ni wọ́n rò ó: Abū ʿAbdillāh Muḥammad ibn Ismāʿīl ibn Ibrāhīm ibn al-Mughīrah ibn Bardizbah al-Bukhārī, àti Abū al-Ḥusayn Muslim ibn al-Ḥajjāj ibn Muslim al-Qushayrī an-Naysābūrī.

فِي صَحِيحَيْهِمَا اللَّذَيْنِ هُمَا أَصَحُّ الْكُتُبِ الْمُصَنَّفَةِ


English

In their two Ṣaḥīḥs, which are the most authentic of all compiled books.

Yoruba

Nínú àwọn ìwé Ṣàḥíḥ méjèèjì wọn, tí wọ́n jẹ́ ìwé tí ó dára jù nínú gbogbo ìwé tí a ti ṣe.
