حد علم التفسير

A science by which one investigates the circumstances of our Book (the Qurʾān) with regard to its revelation.

Ìmọ̀ kan tí a fi ń ṣèwádìí nípa àwọn ipò tí Ìwé wa (Kùránì) wà láti ojú ìsọ̀kalẹ̀ rẹ̀.

And similar (topics)—its types have certainly been confined to fifty-five.

Àti àwọn irú rẹ̀—a ti fi dájú pé àwọn oríṣi rẹ̀ jẹ́ àádọ́ta àti márùn-ún (55).

And they (these types) have been encompassed by a "necklace" of chapters, and after them a conclusion returns (rounds off).

Àwọn ọ̀ràn wọ̀nyí ti wà nínú "ẹ̀gba" ti àwọn orí-ọ̀rọ̀, lẹ́yìn wọn sì ni òpin tí ó padà (pari).

And before them, there must be an introduction, with some of what has been designated in it as its elucidator.

Ṣáájú wọn, ó pọ̀ndandan pé kí a ní ìṣáájú-ọ̀rọ̀ kan, pẹ̀lú díẹ̀ lára ohun tí a ti yà sọ́tọ̀ nínú rẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ bí aláyé rẹ̀.
