The promises of ʿUrqūb were a proverbial example for her—and her promises are nothing but falsehoods.
Àwọn ìlérí ʿUrqūb jẹ́ àpẹẹrẹ àkànlò fún un—àwọn ìlérí rẹ̀ kò jẹ́ nǹkan bí kò ṣe irọ́.
I hope and expect that they (the promises) will be hastened in some time—but throughout all time, there is no hastening for them.
Mo ń retí, mo sì ń fẹ́ kí wọ́n (àwọn ìlérí) yára nígbà kan—ṣùgbọ́n ní gbogbo ìgbà, kò sí yíyára fún wọn.
So let not what she bestowed and what she promised deceive you—for hopes and dreams are but misguidance.
Nítorí náà, má jẹ́ kí ohun tí ó fún ọ àti ohun tí ó ṣèlérí fún ọ tan ọ jẹ—nítorí àwọn ìrètí àti àlá jẹ́ ìṣìnà.
