الْمَقَامَةُ الْمَرَاغِيَّةُ

Supplication fulfills

Àdúrà ń mú ìlérí ṣẹ

And praise purifies

Ìyìn sì ń fọ ni mọ́

The noble one rewards

Ọmọlúàbí ń san èrè

And clinging disgraces

Ìfara-mọ́-ni ń mú ojú ti ni

Discarding the respected one is error

Fífi ẹni tó ní iyì nù jẹ́ àṣìṣe

And prohibiting the hopeful ones is transgression

Dídí àwọn tó ní ìrètí lọ́nà jẹ́ ìwà búburú

None is stingy except the deceived

Kò sí ẹni tó ń ṣe ahun àyàfi ẹni tí a tàn jẹ

And none is deceived except the stingy

Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni a kò le tan ẹnikẹ́ni jẹ àyàfi ahun

And none hoards except the wretched

Kò sí ẹni tó ń kó dúkìá jọ àyàfi ẹni tó ń jìyà

And no pious one withholds his palm

Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kò sí olùbọ̀wọ̀ fún Ọlọ́run tó ń fa ọwọ́ rẹ̀ sẹ́yìn
