There is no doubt that Ibrahim ibn Mas'ud Ibn Sa'd As- sahili al-andalusi (1290AD-1348AD) composed the poem but what seems ridiculous is that a clan laid claim to the authorship of the poem in Ilorin. The name of the clan is called oniwasi or ile alfa tefutu at alore, Ilorin West Local government, Kwara state. The descendants of the founder of this clan made this assertion for the reason that Sheikh Abdullahi popularly called Alfa Tefuttu used this book severally in his sermon after citing quotation from the holy Quran and Hadith of the prophet (SAW). This fact is mooted because Sheikh Abdullahi lived in18th centaury whereas As-sahili lived between 13-14th century.
In 2004, one of the grand children of shaykh Abdullahi reprinted the book. (published at Ibrahim Kewulere Islamic printing press, 128 opo-malu, Ilorin). He stated that his father sheikh sideeq son of Salahudeen who was the son of sheikh Abdullahi has the authorship of the book. It was in practice between 18th to 19th century in Nigeria and most part of west Africa that the author's name did not always appear on the Arabic manuscript of work and as such there is possibility that the name of the author was not inscribed on the work which
