His Death
Before the death of Abu Ishaq, he received the visit of Abu Khalid Haslim Ibn Ra'ga the vizier of Granada, who offered him a better house to live at Granada but the refused and enjoyed living in a typical sufi fashion.
"Al-sahili died in 1346AD and was buried in Timbuktu. Although, it is believed that he never married, he is said to have
fathered several children who later resettled in Walata". ¹⁴ Also, Ibn Batuta reported in his tuhfatu Nazar that he personally saw Al-sahili's grave in the great city of Timbuktu during his sojourn.
