أَمَمْتُهُ مِنْ أَرْجَائِي

I headed towards him from my corners

وَدَعَوْتُهُ لِإِعَادَةِ رَوَائِي وَإِرْوَائِي

And I called him to restore my beauty and quench my thirst

فَهَشَّ لِلْوِفَادَةِ وَرَاحَ
English
He was cheerful for the delegation and went

وَغَدَا بِالإِفَادَةِ وَرَاحَ
English
And he came with benefit and comfort

فَلَمَّا اسْتَأْذَنْتُهُ فِي المَرَاحِ
English
When I asked his permission to depart

To the resting place

عَلَى كَاهِلِ المِرَاحِ
English
On the shoulder of joy

قَالَ: قَدْ أَزْمَعْتُ أَنْ لَا أُزَوِّدَكَ بَتَاتًا
English
He said: I have resolved not to provide you at all

Ó sọ pé: Mo ti pinnu láti má pèsè fún ọ rárá

وَلَا أَجْمَعُ لَكَ شَتَاتًا
English
And not to gather for you what is scattered
