مُقَدِّمَة

O Allah, fulfill this wish for us and grant us this desire.

Ọlọ́hun, mú oun ti a fẹ́ yìí ṣẹ fún wa, kí O sì fún wa ní oun ti a beere yìí.

Do not remove us from Your ample shade, and do not make us a morsel for the chewer.

Má ṣe yọ wá kúrò lábẹ́ òjìji Rẹ tí ó tóbi, má sì ṣe sọ wá di jíjẹ fún afọ́jẹ.

We have extended to You the hand of supplication, and we have humbled ourselves in submission and need to You.

A ti ná ọwọ́ ẹ̀bẹ̀ sí Ọ, a sì ti rẹ ara wa sílẹ̀ ní ìtẹríba àti àìní sí Ọ.

We have sought to bring down Your abundant generosity and Your all-encompassing grace.

A ti wá láti mú àánú Rẹ tí kò lẹ́gbẹ́ àti oore Rẹ tí ó kún gbogbo ayé wá sílẹ̀.

With humble request and the merchandise of hope.

Pẹ̀lú ìbẹ̀rù ìbèrè àti ọjà ìrètí.

By interceding through Muhammad, the master of mankind and the intercessor on the Day of Gathering.

Nípa ṣíṣe ìwúrí pẹ̀lú Muhammed, olórí ẹ̀dá àti aláṣẹ ní Ọjọ́ Ìdájọ́.

With whom You sealed the prophets and elevated his rank in the highest heavens.

Ẹni tí O fi parí àwọn wòlíì, tí O sì gbé ipò rẹ̀ ga ní ọ̀run òkè.

And You described him in Your clear Book, saying - and You are the most truthful of speakers:

Tí O sì ṣe àpèjúwe rẹ̀ nínú Ìwé Rẹ tí ó hàn gbangba, Ò sọ - Ìwọ sì ni olóòótọ́ jùlọ nínú àwọn olùsọ̀rọ̀:

"And We have not sent you except as a mercy to the worlds."

"A kò rán ọ bí kò ṣe fún àánú fún gbogbo ayé."

O Allah, send blessings upon him and upon his guiding family and his companions who built up the religion.

Ọlọ́hun, rán ìbùkún sí i àti sí ẹbí rẹ̀ tí ó ń tọ́ ni sọ́nà àti àwọn ẹgbẹ́ rẹ̀ tí wọ́n kọ́ ẹ̀sìn.
