وَإِنْ بَدَهَ
English
And if he improvises

He astonishes

وَمَتَى اخْتَرَعَ

And whenever he invents

خَرَعَ
English
He subdues

Ó ń ṣẹ́gun

فَقَالَ لَهُ نَاظُورَةُ الدِّيوَانِ
English
Then the overseer of the council said to him

Nígbà náà ni olùṣàkóso ìgbìmọ̀ sọ fún un
66
وَعَيْنُ أُولَئِكَ الأَعْيَانِ
English
And the eye of those nobles
Yoruba
Àti olórí àwọn ọlọ́lá náà
67
مَنْ قَارِعُ هَذِهِ الصَّفَاةِ
English
Who is the striker of this rock
Yoruba
Ta ni ẹni tó ń lu àpáta yìí
68
وَقَرِيعُ هَذِهِ الصِّفَاتِ
English
And the champion of these qualities?
Yoruba
Àti akọni àwọn ìwà wọ̀nyí?
69
فَقَالَ: إِنَّهُ قِرْنُ مَجَالِكَ
English
He replied: He is the equal of your assembly

Ó dáhùn: Ó jẹ́ ẹni tó tó ìpàdé yín

وَقَرِينُ جِدَالِكَ
English
And the companion of your debate
