And I saw in the center of the circle
Mo sì rí ní àárín àyíká náà
A person of aged appearance

Upon him was the gear of a traveler
Tí ó wọ aṣọ irin ajò
And he had the tone of lamentation
Tí ó sì ní ohùn ẹkún
And he was imprinting rhymed prose with the jewels of his words
Ó sì ń ṣe àkọlé ọ̀rọ̀ orin pẹ̀lú àwọn ọ̀rọ̀ dáradára rẹ̀
And he strikes the ears with the rebukes of his admonition
Ó sì ń lu etí pẹ̀lú àwọn ìkìlọ̀ ìwàásù rẹ̀
And mixed groups had surrounded him
Àwọn ẹgbẹ́ oríṣiríṣi ti yí i ká
