He permitted me to sit.

Ó fún mi ní ààyè láti jókòó.

Then he bestowed upon them two robes.

Lẹ́yìn náà, ó fún wọn ní aṣọ méjì.

And he gave them a sum of money.

Ó sì fún wọn ní owó kan.

And he made them promise to treat each other kindly.

Ó sì jẹ́ kí wọn ṣe ìlérí láti máa bá ara wọn lò ní ìfẹ́.

Until the ominous day arrives.

Títí di ọjọ́ ìbẹ̀rù náà.

So they rose from his presence.
