الْمَقَامَةُ الدِّينَارِيَّةُ

And the recurrence of black misfortunes.

Àti àtúnpadà àwọn adanwo okunkun dúdú.

Títí tí àtẹ́lẹwọ́ fi di òfо̣́,

And the courtyard was deserted,

Tí àgbàlá sì di ahoro,

And the spring sank,

And the dwelling became inhospitable,

Tí ibùgbé sì kọ gbigbe,

And the gathering place was deserted,

Tí ibi ìpàdé sì di ahoro,

And the bed became uncomfortable,

Tí ibùsùn sì le koko,

And the situation changed,

Tí ipò náà sì yípadà,

And the dependents wailed,

Tí àwọn ọmọ ilé sì ń pohùnréré ẹkún,

And the stables became empty,

Tí àwọn ilé ẹṣin sì di òfo,
