الْمَقَامَةُ الدِّينَارِيَّةُ

61

قد أُودِعتْ سِر الغِنى أسرتُه .


English

The secret of wealth is entrusted to its family,

A ti fi àṣírí ọrọ̀ lé ìdílé rẹ̀ lọ́wọ́,

62

وقارنَتْ نُجح المساعي خطرتُه.


English

Its occurrence is associated with successful endeavors,

Wíwá rẹ̀ a máa bá àṣeyọrí iṣẹ́ pọ̀,

63

وحُببتْ إلى الأنامِ غُرتُه.


English

And its brightness is beloved to all mankind.

Ìmọ́lẹ̀ rẹ̀ sì jẹ́ ohun àfẹ́ fún gbogbo ènìyàn.

64

كأنّما من القُلوبِ نُقْرتُه.


English

As if its hollow is from hearts,

Bí ẹni pé àyà ènìyàn ni a gbẹ́ ihò rẹ̀ jáde,

65

بهِ يصولُ من حوتْه صرتُه .


English

With it, the one who possesses its purse attacks,

Pẹ̀lú rẹ̀, ẹni tó ní àpò rẹ̀ a máa gbógun tì,

66

وإن تَفانَتْ أو توانَتْ عِتْرتُه.


English

Even if his family perishes or slackens,

Bí ìdílé rẹ̀ tilẹ̀ parun tàbí tí wọ́n fàsẹ̀yìn,

67

يا حبذا نُضاره ونَضرتُه.


English

How lovely is its gold and its freshness,

Ẹ wo bí wúrà rẹ̀ àti ìtútù rẹ̀ ti dára tó,

68

وحبذا مغْناتُه ونصرتُه.


English

And how lovely is its abundance and its victory,

Yoruba

Ẹ wo bí ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ rẹ̀ àti ìṣẹ́gun rẹ̀ ti dára tó,

69

كم آمِرٍ بهِ استَتَبتْ إمرتُه.


English

many rulers have established their rule with it,

Yoruba

Ọ̀pọ̀ àwọn aláṣẹ ni ó ti fi ìdi ìjọba wọn mulẹ̀ pẹ̀lú rẹ̀,

70

ومتْرفٍ لولاه دامتْ حسرتُه .


English

many luxurious ones, without it, would have lasting regret,

Ọ̀pọ̀ àwọn olórọ̀, láìsí rẹ̀, ìbànújẹ́ wọn ìbá pẹ́,
