Even a tenth of its tenth would be like a sip in the vastness of a swelling sea.
Kódà ìdámẹ́wàá nínú ìdámẹ́wàá rẹ̀ dà bí ìmú omi díẹ̀ nínú òkun tó ń gòkè.
Indeed, Prince Ibn Mīkāl revived me after I had become like a discarded thing.
Lóòótọ́, Ọmọ-ọba Ibn Mīkāl gbé mi dìde lẹ́yìn tí mo ti dà bí ohun tí a ti sọ́lẹ̀.
And Abū al-ʿAbbās stretched my arms after they had shrunk from weakness and constraint.
Abū al-ʿAbbās fa ọwọ́ mi gùn lẹ́yìn tí wọ́n ti dín kù látàrí àìlera àti ìdínà.
That one who never ceased to rise toward exaltation.
Ẹnìkan náà tí kò dáwọ́ dúró ní ìrìnàjò sí ìgbéga.
By his deeds until he soared above exaltation itself.
Nípasẹ̀ ìṣe rẹ̀ títí tí ó fi gòkè ju ìgbéga lọ.
If anyone could ascend by generosity.
Tí ẹnikẹ́ni bá lè gòkè nípasẹ̀ ìní ìrẹ́pọ̀ rẹ̀.
And by his glory to the heavens, he would ascend.
Àti nípasẹ̀ ògo rẹ̀, ó lè gòkè dé ọ̀run.
Whenever a seeker approached the sea of his generosity.
Nígbà gbogbo tí arìnrìn-àjò bá dé òkun ìrẹ́pọ̀ rẹ̀.
Upon the flames of knowledge, he was quenched.
Lórí iná ìmọ̀, ó máa ń rí ìtùnú.
My soul is a ransom for my two princes and whoever.
Ẹ̀mí mi ni ìrúbọ fún àwọn ọba méjì mi àti ẹnikẹ́ni.
