تَحـتَ السَمـاءِ لِأَميـرَيَّ الفِـدى.
Beneath the heavens, my princes deserve sacrifice.
Ní ìsàlẹ̀ ọ̀run, àwọn ọba mi tọ́ sí ìrúbọ.
لا زالَ شُكـري لَهُمـا مُـواصِـلاً.
My gratitude to them remains continuous.
Ìdúpẹ́ mi sí wọn kò ní parí.
لَفظي أَو يَعتاقَني صَـرفُ المنـى.
Whether by my words or freed by destiny’s decree.
Bóyá nípasẹ̀ ọ̀rọ̀ mi tàbí ìpinnu ayànmọ́.
إِنَّ الأُلى فارَقتُ مِـن غَيـرِ قِلـىً.
Indeed, those I parted from without aversion.
Dájúdájú, àwọn tí mo fi sílẹ̀ láìní ìkórìíra.
مـا زاغَ قَلبـي عَنهُـمُ ولا هَفـا.
My heart never strayed from them nor faltered.
Ọkàn mi kò yí kúrò lọ́dọ̀ wọn, kò sì ṣì.
لَكِـنَّ لـي عَزمـاً إِذا اِمتَطَيـتُـهُ.
But I have a resolve, when I mount it.
Ṣùgbọ́n mo ní ìpinnu tí mo bá gbé e gòkè.
لِمُبهَـمِ الخَطـبِ فَـآه فَاِنـفَـأى.
Against obscure trials, alas, it disperses.
Lòdì sí ìdánwò tí kò mọ̀, àní ó tú ká.
وَلَو أَشـاءُ ضَـمَّ قُطرَيـهِ الصِبـا.
And if I willed, I could unite the horizons of youth.
Tí mo bá fẹ́, mo lè darapọ̀ àwọn àgbègbè ìgbà ọ̀dọ́.
عَلَـيَّ فـي ظِلّـي نَعيـمٍ وَغِنـى.
Upon me, in my shade, are bliss and wealth.
Lórí mi, ní àbùdá mi, ayọ̀ àti ọ̀rọ̀ wà.
وَلاعَبَتـنـي غــادَةٌ وَهنـانَـةٌ.
A maiden playful and tender has delighted me.
Àwọn obìnrin aláyọ̀ àti onírẹ̀lẹ̀ ti mú ayọ̀ bá mi.
