مَآثِـرُ الآبـاءِ فـي فَـرعِ العُلـى.
The virtues of the forefathers in the branch of exaltation.
Ìwà rere àwọn bàbá ní ẹ̀ka ìgbéga.
مِنَ الأُلـى جَوهَرُهُـم إِذا اِعتَـزَوا.
From those whose essence shines when they take pride.
Láti ọ̀dọ̀ àwọn tí ìwà wọn ń tàn nígbà tí wọ́n bá ní ìgbéraga.
مِن جَوهَرٍ مِنهُ النَبِـيُّ المُصطَفـى.
From their essence came the chosen Prophet.
Láti inú ìwà wọn ni Wòlíì tí a yàn ti wá.
صَلّى عَلَيهِ اللَهُ مـا جَـنَّ الدُجـى.
May Allah’s blessings be upon him as long as night covers.
Kí ìbùkún Ọlọ́run wà lórí rẹ̀ títí tí òru yóò fi bò.
وَما جَرَت في فَلَكٍ شَمسُ الضُحـى.
And as long as the sun of forenoon runs its course in the sky.
Kí ó máa bá a lọ títí tí oorun òwúrọ̀ yóò fi rìn ní ọ̀run.
جَـونٌ أَعارَتـهُ الجَنـوبُ جانِبـاً.
A dark cloud lent by the southern wind.
Ìkùnlẹ̀ dúdú tí afẹ́fẹ́ gúúsù fún ní apá kan.
مِنها وَواصَت صَوبَهُ يَـدُ الصَبـا.
From it, the hand of the east wind joined its course.
Látinú rẹ̀, ọwọ́ afẹ́fẹ́ ìlà-oòrùn darapọ̀ mọ́ ìrìnàjò rẹ̀.
نَـأى يَمانِيّـاً فَلَـمّـا اِنتَـشَـرَت.
It drifted Yemen-ward, then spread wide.
Ó lọ sí ilẹ̀ Yemen, lẹ́yìn náà ó tàn ká.
أَحضانُـهُ وَاِمتَـدّ كِسـراهُ غَطـا.
Its bosom expanded, its veil covered all.
Àyà rẹ̀ gbooro, aṣọ rẹ̀ bò gbogbo ibi.
فَجَلَّـلَ الأُفــقَ فَـكُـلُّ جـانِـبٍ.
It cloaked the horizon, so every side.
Ó bò àfòjúdi, gbogbo apá sì di ìbòjú.
