From it, each land says: the rain has dwelt here.

Látinú rẹ̀, gbogbo ilẹ̀ ń sọ pé: òjò ti gbé níbí.

It speaks to the barren lands when they are bound together.

Ó ń bá ilẹ̀ tí kò ní èso sọ̀rọ̀ nígbà tí wọ́n bá darapọ̀.

By its driving, trust in abundance and life.

Nípasẹ̀ ìrìnàjò rẹ̀, gbàgbọ́ nínú ìpọ̀lọpọ̀ àti ìyè.

It widened the hills with generous streams.

Ó gbooro àwọn òkè pẹ̀lú ìṣàn omi tó pọ̀.

And covered the valleys with refreshing water.

Ó bò àwọn àfonífojì pẹ̀lú omi ìtùnú.

As though the desert after its rain.

Bíi pé aginjù lẹ́yìn òjò rẹ̀.

A sea swelling with currents, then calm.

Òkun tí ìṣàn rẹ̀ ń gòkè, lẹ́yìn náà ó balẹ̀.

That generosity remains his special trait.

Ìrẹ́pọ̀ náà ṣi jẹ́ àfihàn pàtàkì rẹ̀.

A people who are rain and bounty for the earth.

Àwọn ènìyàn tí wọ́n jẹ́ òjò àti ìbùkún fún ayé.

I am not, when overwhelmed by hardship.

Èmi kì í ṣe ẹni tí ìṣòro bá pa mọ́lẹ̀.
