الْمَقَامَةُ الْمَعَرِّيَّةُ

Sometimes she trots like a strong horse.

Nígbà mìíràn ó máa ń sáré bí ẹṣin alágbára.

And at times she sleeps in the cradle.

Ní àwọn ìgbà mìíràn ó máa ń sùn nínú àpótí ọmọ.

And she feels cold in July.

Ó sì máa ń ní òtútù ní oṣù Keje.

Possessing intellect and restraint.

Ó ní ọgbọ́n àti ìkóra-ẹni-níjàánu.

And sharpness and a spearhead.

Àti mímú àti orí ọ̀kọ̀.

And a palm with fingers.

Àti àtẹ́lẹwọ́ pẹ̀lú ìka.

And a mouth without teeth.

She stings with a snake like tongue.
