For the compensation of what I have weakened.
Fún ìsan ohun tí mo ti bà jẹ́.
A slave of mine, proportionate in both ends.
Ẹrú mi kan, tí ó dára ní ìhà méjèèjì.
Descended from blacksmiths.
Tí ó jẹ́ ọmọ ará ilé agbẹ́dẹ.
Pure from filth and blemish.
Tí ó mọ́ kúrò nínú èérí àti àbàwọ́n.
His place is comparable to the blackness of the eye.
Ipò rẹ̀ dàbí dúdú ojú.
He spreads kindness.
Ó ń tàn ìnúrere káàkiri.
And creates admiration.
Ó sì ń mú ìyìn dìde.
And nourishes mankind.
Ó ń bọ́ ọmọ ènìyàn.
And avoids the tongue.
Ó sì ń yẹra fún ahọ́n.
If he blackens, he excels.
Tí ó bá dúdú, ó ń ṣe déédé.
