الْمَقَامَةُ الْكُوفِيَّةُ

Yoruba: Ó sọ pé: Orúkọ mi ni Seidu.

English: And my origin is Fayd.

Yoruba: Ìbí mi sì ni Fáídì.

English: And I arrived at this town yesterday.

Yoruba: Mo sì dé ìlú yìí lánàá.

English: With my maternal uncles from Bani Abs.

Yoruba: Pẹ̀lú àwọn ẹ̀gbọ́n ìyá mi láti ẹ̀yà Bani Absi.

Yoruba: Mo sọ fún un pé: Ṣàlàyé sí i, kí ọjọ́ rẹ gùn.
