الْمَقَامَةُ الْمَكِّيَّةُ

He said: As for me, I am a wanderer seeking help, my plight is not hidden, and a glance at me is enough to intercede for me.

Ó sọ pé: Bí mo ṣe jẹ́, mo jẹ́ arìnrìn àjò tó ń wá ìrànlọ́wọ́, ìṣòro mi kì í ṣe ìkọ̀kọ̀, àti pé wíwò mi tó láti bẹ̀bẹ̀ fún mi.

Nípa jíjá wọlé, tí ó mú ìdààmú wá, kì í ṣe ohun ìyàlẹ́nu, nítorí pé kò sí ààbò fún àwọn aláàánú.

Àwa béèrè lọ́wọ́ rẹ̀: Báwo ni o ṣe rí wa? Kí ni ó tọ́ ká rẹ sí wa?

Ó sọ pé: Ìfẹ́ràn ní òórùn tí ó fi hàn ìwà rẹ̀ àti tí ó tọ́ sí ọgbà rẹ̀.

I inferred from your fragrance the clarity of your reputation!

Mo mọ̀ láti inú òórùn yín ìmọ̀lẹ̀ orúkọ yín!

Your sweet scent heralded the good outcome from you!

Òórùn dídùn yín sọ̀rọ̀ fún mi nípa ìparí rere láti ọ̀dọ̀ yín!
