الْمَقَامَةُ الْمَرَاغِيَّةُ

And if you wish for that, suppose a noble one

Tí o bá fẹ́ bẹ́ẹ̀, ẹ pé ọlọ́gbọn yin kan wá

Kí o sì pe ẹni tí yóò dáhùn

So you may see a wonder

Kí o lè rí ohun ìyanu

Ó sọ fún un: Ìwọ, nítòótọ́ àwọn ẹyẹ aláìlágbára ní ilẹ̀ wa kì í di idì

Àti pé ó rọrùn fún wa láti mọ ìyàtọ̀ láàrin fàdákà àti ìlẹ̀kẹ̀

Tí ó sì bọ́ lọ́wọ́ àrùn tí kò ní ìwòsàn

Tàbí ó fẹ́ ru erùpẹ̀ ìdánwò sókè
