الْمَقَامَةُ الرَّازِيَّةُ

Blessed is he who hears and understands, and fulfills what he claims!

Ibùkún ni fún ẹni tí ó gbọ́, tí ó lóye, tí ó sì ṣe ohun tí ó sọ!

And restrains the soul from desires, and knows that the successful one is he who repents!

Ati pe ó dá ara rẹ̀ dúró kúrò nínú ìfẹ́kúfẹ̀ẹ́, tí ó sì mọ̀ pé ẹni tí ó bọ̀wọ̀ fún Ọlọ́run ni yóò ṣàṣeyọrí!

And that man will have nothing except what he strives for, and his striving will be seen.

Ati pé kò sí ohun tí ènìyàn yóò ní bí kò ṣe ohun tí ó ṣiṣẹ́ fún, tí a ó sì rí iṣẹ́ rẹ̀.

Then he recited with a trembling voice:

Lẹ́yìn náà, ó kọ orin pẹ̀lú ohùn tí ń mì:

By your life, neither wealth nor riches avail when the wealthy one lies in the grave.

Nígbàtí ẹni tí ó lówó bá wà nínú ibojì, owó àti ọ̀rọ̀ kò ní ran án lọ́wọ́.

So strive to please God with your wealth, content with the reward and recompense you acquire.

Ṣíṣe fún ìfẹ́ Ọlọ́run pẹ̀lú owó rẹ, tí o sì ní ìtẹ́lọ́rùn pẹ̀lú èrè àti ẹ̀san tí o rí.

And hasten with it before time changes, for it devours with its sharp claws and fangs.

Ati kí o máa ṣe kíákíá ṣáájú kí àkókò to yí padà, nítorí pé ó máa ń jẹ pẹ̀lú ìkà rẹ̀ àti eyín rẹ̀.

And do not trust the deceitful time and its tricks, for how many obscure ones has it destroyed with its fangs.

Ati pé má ṣe gbẹ́kẹ̀lé àkókò tí ó jẹ́ oníwà ọ̀dàlẹ̀ àti ẹ̀tan rẹ̀, nítorí pé ó ti pa ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ ẹni tí kò mọ̀ ní pẹ̀lú eyín rẹ̀.

And resist the desires of the soul, for no misguided brother obeyed them without falling into its punishment.

Ati pe má ṣe tẹ̀lé ìfẹ́kúfẹ̀ẹ́ ọkàn rẹ, nítorí pé kò sí arákùnrin tí ó tẹ̀lé wọn tí kò bá ṣubú sínú ìjìyà rẹ.

And maintain piety and fear of God to be saved from His punishment.

Ati pe máa ṣọ́ra fún Ọlọ́run àti ìbẹ̀rù rẹ̀ láti yè kúrò nínú ìjìyà rẹ.
