Mo sì sọ fún un pé: Láìsí Ọlọ́run, tí mo bá kò ba bo ọ́ ní,

Àti fi àṣírí rẹ̀ pamọ́.
You would not have gained any gift.
Ìwọ kò ní ti rí ẹbùn kankan.
Nor turned richer than an onion.
Àti kò ní di ọlọ́rọ̀ ju àlùbọ́sà lọ.
So reward me for my kindness to you.
Nítorí náà, san mí fún ìfẹ́ mi sí ọ.
And my covering for you and over you.
Àti Iranlọwọ mi fún ọ àti lórí rẹ.
By allowing me to return the fur coat.
Nípà tí o bá jẹ́ kí n da aṣọ irun náà padà.
Or by letting me know the Kafs of winter.
Tabi kí o jẹ kin mọ́ àwọn Kaafu ìgbà òtútù.
