Then he recited: Praise be to Allah who clothed me with a fur, which became a shield against the cold for me.
Lẹ́yìn náà, ó kọrin: Ògo ni fún Ọlọ́run tí ó fi irun ẹranko kan bò mí, tí ó di ààbò lòdì sí òtútù fún mi.
He clothed me with it as a protector of my soul, shielding me from the evil of humans and jinn.
Ó fi bó mi gẹ́gẹ́ bí ààbò fún ẹ̀mí mi, tí ó sì dáàbò bo mí lòdì sí ibi àwọn ènìyàn àti àwọn ẹ̀mí.
Today he will be adorned with my praise, and tomorrow he will be clothed in the silk of paradise.
Lónìí, yóò wọ ìyìn mi, ọ̀la yóò sì wọ aṣọ Sányán (Siliki) ti ọ̀run.
He said: When he captivated the hearts of the group with his brilliance,
Ó ní: Nígbà tí ó dá àwọn ọkàn àwọn ènìyàn lójú pẹ̀lú ọgbọ́n rẹ̀,
They threw upon him adorned furs and embroidered cloaks, whose weight burdened him, and he could barely lift them.
Wọ́n wọ̀ ọ́ ní irun ẹranko tí a ṣe ẹ̀wù àti aṣọ papọ̀, tí a fi ọ̀ṣọ́ sí, tí ìwọ̀n rẹ̀ ṣòro fún un láti gbé wọn.
He went away rejoicing in relief, seeking water from God for the land of Keraj.
Ó lọ ní ìdùnú nítorí ìdásílẹ̀, ó sì ń tọ̀rọ́ omi fún ìlú Karaji.
I followed him to where the caution lifted, and the sky appeared clear.
Mo tẹ̀ lé e títí dé ibi tí ìṣọ́ra ti kúrò, tí ọ̀run sì di mímọ́.
I said to him: How the cold has bitten you! Do not undress again! He said:
Mo sọ fún un pé: Bawo ni òtútù ṣe ti gbé ọ! Má ṣe yọ aṣọ rẹ̀ mọ́! Ó ní:
Woe to you, it is not just to hasten to blame!
Ègbé ni fún ọ, kò tọ́ láti yara sí ìbáwí!
Do not rush to blame, for it is injustice. And do not follow what you have no knowledge of.
Má ṣe yara sí ìbáwí, nítorí ó jẹ́ àìṣòdodo. Má sì tẹ̀lé ohun tí o kò mọ̀.
