الْمَقَامَةُ الْقطيعية

Asi ṣe abamọ.

Fún ohun tí ì bọ́ sọ́nu lọwọ́ wá.

And we began to apologize to him like the wise.

A wá bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí í bẹ̀bẹ̀ sí i bí àwọn ọlọ́gbọ́n.

And we offered him to drink from the cup of alcohol.

A wá ṣe apọnle fún un láti mu nínú àgọ́ ẹmu.

He said: A goal without hospitality.

Ó sọ pé: Bùkáàta láìsí ìtẹ́wọ́gbà.

And a drink that no longer has sweetness for me.

Ati ohun mímu tí kò ní àdùn mọ́ fún mi.

So we prolonged our persuasion.

Nítorí náà, a tẹ̀ síwájú nínú ìtẹ̀wọ́gbà wa.
