Wí pé ẹ jẹ́ orísun ẹbun
May God bless the one who fulfills my vow,
Kí Ọlọ́run bù kún ẹni tí ó mú ìbúra mi ṣẹ.
And confirms my insight.
Tí ó jẹ́rìí ìmọ̀ mi.

ó wo mi pẹ̀lú ojú tí ó ti di dídì nítorí òtútù.
And softened by generosity.
Tí ó ti rọ̀ nítorí ẹbun.
Al-Harith ibn Hammam said:
Hárìsù ọmọ Hammam sọ pé:
We understood the brilliance of her expression.
A gbọ́ agbọye ìmòye rẹ̀ nínú ọrọ rẹ̀.
And the beauty of her metaphors.
Ati ẹwà ti ìṣàpẹẹrẹ rẹ̀.
And we said to her: Your words have enchanted us.
A sọ fún un pé: Ọrọ rẹ̀ ti fa wa mọ́ra.

Nítorí náà, báwo ni ìṣe rẹ̀ ṣe rí?
