الْمَقَامَةُ الْوَاسِطِيَّةُ

I ask Allah for you to praise His connection and the continuation of His happiness.

Mo bẹ Ọlọ́run fún yín láti yìn ìbáṣepọ̀ Rẹ̀ àti títẹ̀síwájú ìdùnnú Rẹ̀.

And may He inspire each one to improve his condition and prepare for his return.

Kí Ó sì fún kọọkan ní ìmísí láti mú ipò rẹ̀ dára àti pèsè fún ìpadà rẹ̀.

To Him belongs eternal praise, and to His Messenger Muhammad, commendation.

Ìyìn àìnípẹ̀kun jẹ́ tirẹ̀, Iyìn fún Wòlíì Rẹ̀ Muhammad.

When he finished his eloquent and clear sermon.

Nígbà tí ó parí ìwàásù rẹ̀ tó lẹ́wa àti tó mọ́.

He concluded the contract for five hundred and said to me

Ó parí àdéhùn sí ẹ̀dáàdọ́ta, Ó sọ fún mi pé:

With prosperity and sons.

Pẹ̀lú àṣeyọrí àti àwọn ọmọkùnrin.

Then he brought the sweets he had prepared.

Lẹ́yìn náà, ó mú àwọn àdídùn tí ó ti pèsè wá.

And revealed the marvel beside it.

Ó sì fi ìyàlẹ́nu hàn lẹ́gbẹ̀ẹ́ rẹ̀.

So I approached it like a crowd.

Nítorí náà, mo sún mọ́ ọ́ bíi ìjọ ènìyàn.

And I almost reached out my hand to it.

Mo sì fẹrẹ́ náa ọwọ́ mi dé ọ̀dọ̀ rẹ̀.
