الْمَقَامَةُ الْوَاسِطِيَّةُ

As long as the crescent rises and the call to prayer is heard.

Bí ìràwọ̀ oṣù ṣe ń gòkè àti bí ìpè àdúrà ṣe ń gbá gbigbọ́.

Work, may Allah guide you, the best of deeds, and follow the paths of the lawful.

Ẹ̀ Ṣíṣe, kí Ọlọ́run tọ́ yín, àwọn iṣẹ́ tó dára jù, kí ẹ̀ tẹ̀lé àwọn ọ̀nà tí ó bófin mu.

Abandon the forbidden and leave it, and listen to Allah's command and understand it.

Ẹ fi àwọn ohun tí kò bófin mu sílẹ̀, àti kí Ẹ̀ gbọ́ àṣẹ Ọlọ́run kí ẹ sì lóye rẹ̀.

Maintain kinship ties and care for them, resist desires and restrain them.

Ẹ bójú tó àwọn ìbátan yín kí ẹ sì tọju wọn, kí ẹ̀ sì jìnnà sí àwọn ìfẹ́kúfẹ̀ẹ́ kí ẹ sì dá wọn dúró.

Marry into the flesh of righteousness and piety, and sever the group of frivolity and greed.

Ẹ fẹ́ sínú ẹ̀dá ìwà rere àti ìbẹ̀rù Ọlọ́run, kí ẹ sì yà àwọn ẹgbẹ́ ìdárayá àti ìfẹ́kúfẹ̀ẹ́ kúrò.

Your in-laws are the purest of the freeborn, the noblest of the noble, the sweetest in source, and the most truthful in promise.

Àwọn ìbátan yín jẹ́ mímọ́ jùlọ nínú àwọn ọmọ orílẹ̀, àwọn olóòótọ́ jùlọ nínú àwọn olóòótọ́, àwọn tó dùn jùlọ nínú orísun, àti àwọn tó jẹ́ òní àlàáfíà jùlọ nínú ìlérí.

Here he is, your protector, and he has entered your sanctuary.

Òun niyi, tí Ó kọjú sí yín, ó sì ti wọ ilẹ̀ mímọ́ yín.

He has married your honored bride, and endowed her as the Prophet endowed Umm Salama.

Ó ti fẹ́ iyàwó yín tí a bọ̀ wọ̀ fún, ó sì fún un ní ẹ̀bùn bíi ti Wòlíì fún Ìyá Salama.

He is the noblest son-in-law, entrusted with children, and he grants to whom he wills.

Ó jẹ́ ọmọ ìyàwó tó jùlọ ní ọlá, tí a fi àwọn ọmọ lé, ó sì fún ẹni tí ó bá fẹ́.

His rule did not falter nor err, nor did his grip weaken or stain.

Ìjọba rẹ̀ kò ṣìkànsí tàbí ṣe aṣìṣe, ìgbamú rẹ̀ kò rọ̀ tàbí ní abawọn.
