الْمَقَامَةُ الرقطاء

121

وخِلْت رِياضاً قد نمت.


English

And you will imagined a garden that have germinated.

Ìwọ́ yóò sì rò pé ọgbà kán ti nà ró.

122

هذا ثمّ شِربه برض.


English

This, then his dehydration is small

Yoruba

Èyí, lẹ́yìn náà, Ọ́gbẹ́lẹ̀ rẹ mọ níwọn.

123

وقوته قرض.


English

And his strength is a loan.

Yoruba

Agbara rẹ̀ jẹ́ gbèsè.

124

وفلَقُه غسق.


English

And his dawn is dusk.

Yoruba

Àárọ̀ rẹ̀ jẹ́ ìròlẹ́.

125

وجِلْبابه خلَق.


English

And his garment is worn out.

Yoruba

Àṣọ rẹ̀ ti ṣá.

126

وقد قلِق لتوغُّرِ غَريمٍ غاشِم.ٍ


English

And he was anxious about the intrusion of an oppressor moneylender.

Yoruba

Ó sì ń bẹ̀ru nípa ìwọlé ẹni tí a jẹ́ ní gbèsè tí Ó sì tún jẹ alabosi.

يستحثّه بحق لازِم.ٍ


English

Who urges him with a binding right.

Yoruba

Tí ó ń gbá a níyànjú nípa ẹ̀tọ́ tí ó jẹ́ dandan.

128

فإنْ من سيدنا بكفّه بهباتِ كفّه.ِ


English

But if our master can mercifully stop him from me, with the gifts in his hand,

Yoruba

Nítorí tí Aṣíwájú wa, bá lè ṣe aanu fún mí làti kọ̀ fún pẹlú àwọn ẹ̀bùn ọwọ́ rẹ̀,

توشح بمجدٍ فاق.


English

He would have adorned himself with surpassing glory.

Yoruba

Yóò fi ògo tí ó ga ju gbogbo lọ ṣe ara rẹ̀ lọ̀ṣọ́.

130

وباءَ بأجرِ فكّي من وثاق.ٍ


English

And he would have returned with the reward of freeing me from bondage.

Yoruba

Ó sì padà pẹ̀lú èrè ìdásílẹ̀ kúrò nínú ìdè.
