الْمَقَامَةُ الصُّورِيَّةُ

And imposed rights in the wealth of the affluent.

Ó sì fi ẹ̀tọ́ sí owó àwọn ọlọ́rọ̀.

And clarified what is due from the less fortunate to the wealthy.

Ó sì ṣàlàyé ohun tí ó yẹ fún àwọn tí kò ní lọ́wọ́ sí àwọn ọlọ́rọ̀.

May Allah's blessings be upon him, a prayer that brings him close.

Àlàáfíà Allah kì í máa bá a, àdúrà tí ó mú un sún mọ́.

And upon his chosen companions, the people of the bench.

Àti lórí àwọn ọ̀rẹ́ rẹ̀ tí ó yàn, àwọn ènìyàn tí ó wà lórí àpótí.

As for what follows, Allah has ordained marriage so that you may remain chaste.

Gẹ́gẹ́ bí ohun tí ó tẹ̀lé, Allah ti pàṣẹ ìgbéyàwó kí ẹ lè wà ní ìwà pípé.

And He has established procreation so that you may multiply.

Ó sì ti dá ìbímọ́ láti jẹ́ kí ẹ pọ̀ sí i.

He said, glorified be He, so that you may know: O people, We created you from a male and a female and made you into nations and tribes so that you may know one another.

Ó sọ pé, ògo ni fún Un, kí ẹ lè mọ̀: Ẹ̀yin ènìyàn, A dá yín láti inú ọkùnrin kan àti obìnrin kan, A sì ṣe yín sí àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè àti àwọn ẹ̀yà kí ẹ lè mọ̀ ara yín.

And this is Abu al-Daraj, Wallaj ibn Khurraj, the shameless-faced, the blatant liar, the murmurer and the shouter, the persistent and the insistent.

Èyí ni Bàbá Dàrájì, Wọ̀lewọ̀le ọmọ Jádejáde, ẹni tí ó ní ojú tí kò ní ìtìjú, Òní ìrọ́ tí o hàn, ẹni tí ó ń sọ̀rọ̀ ní kíkì, ẹni tí ó ń sọ̀rọ̀ ní gbígbóná, ẹni tí ó ní ìtẹ̀npẹ̀lẹ̀ pẹ̀lú ìfọkànsìn.

He seeks the hand of Virago (heroine), the daughter of her people, and the condition of her husband, Qanbas (quick tempered), the daughter of Abu al-Anbas (angry lion).

Ó ń bẹ̀bẹ̀ fún ọwọ́ akíkanjú Obìnrin, ọmọ àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀, àti ipo ọkọ rẹ̀, Kánbasu (ayara bínú), ọmọ Bàbá Anbasu (kìnìún oni kanran)

Because of what he heard of her generosity, her persistence, his extravagance in her humility, her diligence in her livelihood, and her revival in her struggles.

Nítorí ohun tí ó gbọ́ nípa ìfẹ̀ rẹ̀, ìfọkànsìn rẹ̀, ìṣòro rẹ̀ (ọkọ) nínú ìrẹ̀lẹ̀ rẹ̀(aya), ìfaradà rẹ̀ nínú ìgbé ayé rẹ̀, àti ìgbé ayé rẹ̀ nínú ìjà rẹ̀.
