الْمَقَامَةُ الصُّورِيَّةُ

There fell from the scattering what exceeded the limit of abundance.

Ohun tí ó kọjá ààlà lọ́pọ̀lọ́pọ̀ jáde láti inú ìtànkálẹ̀.

And it enticed the miser to generosity.

Ó sì mú ẹni tí ó jẹ́ aláìní ní ìfẹ̀ẹ́.

Then the elder rose, dragging his robes.

Lẹ́yìn náà, àgbàlagbà náà dìde, ó ń fa aṣọ rẹ̀.

And leading his followers.

Ó sì ń darí àwọn ọmọlẹ́yìn rẹ̀.

Al-Harith ibn Hammam said: I followed him to observe the people's halt.

Hárìsù ọ̀mọ́ Hammam sọ pé: Mo tẹ̀lé e láti wo ibi tí àwọn ènìyàn dúró.

And to complete the joy of the day.

Ati láti parí ayọ̀ ọjọ́ náà.

He hurried them to a banquet adorned by its chefs.

Ó ya wọn lára lọ sí àpéjọ tí àwọn òunjẹ rẹ̀ jẹ́ ẹwà nípasẹ̀ àwọn oníṣe rẹ̀.

Its sides shared equally in beauty.

Àwọn agbègbè rẹ̀ ní ìpín nínú ẹwà.

When each person settled in their place.

Nígbà tí gbogbo ènìyàn jókòó níbi tí wọ́n wà.

And began to enjoy their meadow.

Wọ́n bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí í gbádùn àgbàlá wọn.
