الْمَقَامَةُ الْمَرَاغِيَّةُ

English: And the dwelling is like paradise in its goodness

English: A place of recreation and value

English: Praise! for the life I had there

Yoruba: Órire, fún ìgbé ayé tí mo ní níbẹ̀

English: And the abundant pleasures

Yoruba: Àti àwọn adùn tí ó pọ̀

English: Days when I dragged my cloak

Yoruba: Àwọn ọjọ́ tí mo fà aṣọ mi

English: In its garden, determined in my resolve

Yoruba: Nínú ọgbà rẹ̀, pẹ̀lú ìpinnu

English: I strut in the coolness of youth

Yoruba: Mo ń ṣe àfojúsùn nínú ìtutù ìgbà èwe

English: And behold the beautiful blessings

Yoruba: Mo sì ń wo àwọn ìbùkún dáradára

English: I fear not the vicissitudes of time

Yoruba: Èmi kò bẹ̀rù àwọn ìyípadà àkókò

English: Nor its blameworthy events
