الْمَقَامَةُ الْفرضية

And here I have warned you before the veil is torn.

Ẹ̀yin ni mo ti kéde fún yín ṣáájú kí aṣọ náà tó tú àṣírí

And the bond between us is formed.

Àti pé ìbáṣepọ̀ láàrín wa ti dá.

So do not ignore the warning, and beware of deceit, beware.

Nítorí náà, má ṣe foju pa ìkìlọ̀ náà, kí o sì ṣọ́ra fún èké, ṣọ́ra.

So I said to him: By He who forbade usury and permitted pure food.

Nítorí náà, mo sọ fún un pé: Ní orúkọ Ẹni tí ó sọ owó èlé déwọ́ àti tí ó gbà wá láàyè oúnjẹ mímọ́.

I have not spoken falsely, nor have I deceived you.

Èmi kò ti sọ irọ́, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni èmi kò ti tan ọ jẹ.

You will know the truth of the matter, and you will praise the offering of milk and dates.

Ìwọ yóò mọ òtítọ́ ọ̀rọ̀ náà, ìwọ yóò sì yìn nínà miliki àti dabinu

So he rejoiced with the joy of the truthful, and hurried to the market.

Nítorí náà, ó yọ̀ pẹ̀lú ayọ̀ ẹni tó sọ òtítọ́, ó sì yara lọ sí ọjà.

It was not long before he returned, exhausted and weary.

Kò pẹ́ tó fi padà wá, tí ojú rẹ ń gbóná látàrí wàhálà.

He placed them before me, with gratitude.

Ó fi wọn síwájú mi, pẹ̀lú ìdúpẹ́.

And he said: Strike the army with the army, and you will enjoy the pleasure of life.

Ó sọ pé: Máa kọlu ọmọ ogun pẹ̀lú ọmọ ogun, ìwọ yóò rí gbádùn ìgbé ayé.
