Ó ṣètò láti dáhùn olùkéde náà, lẹ́yìn náà ó yí padà láti sọ pé ó dìgbà.

Mo dá a dúró láti máa lọ, mo sì sọ pé: "Ìgbà àlejò, ọjọ́ mẹ́ta ni!"

Ó bẹ̀bẹ̀, ó sì fi ẹ̀mí rẹ̀ lé lórí, lẹ́yìn náà ó lọ sí ẹnu-ọ̀nà.

Ó sì kọ nígbà tí ó ń gòkè: "Má ṣe ṣàbẹ̀wò ẹni tí o fẹ́ ní gbogbo oṣù bí kò ṣe ọjọ́ kan, má sì fi alekun sí."
