الْمَقَامَةُ السنجارية

Ṣùgbọ́n, ó di àwọn ọ̀nà mú.

And insists on the matters.

Ati ó ń tẹnumọ́ àwọn ọ̀ràn.

Nothing saved me from his persistence.

Kò sí ohun tí ó gbà mí kúrò ní ọwọ́ ìfaradà rẹ̀.

Nor distanced him from achieving his goal.

Tabi ó kànra láti inú àṣeyọrí rẹ̀.

Except for verses that the wounded chest exhaled.

Bí kò ṣe àwọn ẹsẹ̀ tí àyà tí ó fara pa jáde.

And the severed mind.

Ati ọkàn tí ó ti ya.

For they were a repellent to his devil.

Nítorí wọ́n jẹ́ ohun tí ó ń lé èṣù rẹ̀ lọ.

And a prison for him in his homeland.

Ati èwọ̀n fún un ní ilé rẹ̀.

And upon their spread, joy was released.

Ati nígbàtí wọ́n tàn, ayọ̀ jáde.

And he called for woe and destruction.
