الْمَقَامَةُ السنجارية

He called me to the love of the night, where the darkness of the midnight is a silent watcher.

Ó pè mí sífẹ́ alẹ́, níbi tí òkùnkùn òru jẹ olùṣọ́ aláìsọ̀rọ̀.

And it is enough for one who slanders, even if he speaks the truth, to bear sins and blame.

Ó tó fún ẹni tí ó ń purọ́, bí ó tilẹ̀ sọ òtítọ́, láti gba ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ àti ẹ̀bi.

He said: When the master of the house heard his poetry and rhyme, he admired his praise and repeated it.

Ó sọ pé: Nígbà tí onilé gbọ́ ewì rẹ̀ àti ìròhìn rẹ̀, ó fẹ́ràn ìyìn rẹ̀ ó sì tún un sọ.

He settled him in the cradle of his honor and placed him at the forefront of his generosity.

Ó gbé e sí ibùgbé ọlá rẹ̀ ó sì fi í sí iwájú àánú rẹ̀.

Then he brought ten dishes from the West, filled with sweet candies and white honey.

Lẹ́yìn náà, ó mú igbá àbọ mẹ́wàá láti ìwọ̀ oòrùn, tí ó kún fún àdídùn àti oúnjẹ oyin funfun.

And he said to him: The companions of the Fire are not equal to the companions of the Garden, nor can the innocent be made like the guilty.

Ó sọ fún un pé: Àwọn tó wà nínú iná kò dára bí àwọn tó wà nínú ọ̀gbà ìdẹkùn, kò sì ṣeé ṣe ki ẹni tí kò lọ́ràn dí ẹni tó lọ́ràn.

And these vessels are placed in the rank of the righteous, in the protection of secrets.

Àwọn ikòkò wọ̀nyí wà ní ipò àwọn olódodo, nínú ìtìjú àwọn aṣírí.

So do not distance them, nor join Hud with 'Ad.

Nítorí náà, má ṣe fi wọn jìnnà, má sì fi Hud pọ̀ mọ́ 'Ad.

Then he ordered his servant to move them to his resting place, to enjoy them as he wishes.

Lẹ́yìn náà, ó pàṣẹ fún ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ láti gbé wọn lọ sí ibi ìsinmi rẹ̀, láti gbádùn wọn gẹ́gẹ́ bí ó ti fẹ́.

Then Abu Zayd came to us and said: Recite Surah Al-Fath and rejoice in the healing of wounds.

Lẹ́yìn náà, Baba Seidu wá sí ọdọ wa ó sì sọ pé: Kà Surah Fatia kí o sì dunu sí ìwòsàn àárẹ̀.
