الْمَقَامَةُ السنجارية

And coral would be sold for free.

Àti pé wọ́n yóò tà ìlẹkẹ iyùn lọfẹ.

If she gazed, she would stir the delusions,

Tí ó bá wo, yóò jí wàhálà èrò (ìfẹ́),

And fulfilled the magic of Babylon.

Àti pé yóò mú ìyanu Bábílónì ṣẹ.

If she spoke, she would captivate the wise,

Tí ó bá sọ̀rọ̀, yóò mú ọgbọ́n àwọn ọlọ́gbọ́n,

And bring down the mountain goats from their strongholds.

Àti pé yóò mú àwọn àgùntàn orí àpáta kúrò nínú àwọn ibi ìdè wọn.

Tí ó bá kà, yóò wò àwọn tó ń ṣàìsàn.

Àti pé yóò jí àwọn tí wọ́n ti gbé sin láàyè dìde.
