الْمَقَامَةُ الْنصيبية

And poured slumber into our eyelids.

Àti pé ó tú oorun sínú ìpenpeju wa.

Until we left the realm of existence.

Títí tí a fi jáde kúrò nínú àgbáyé.

And we turned to sleep.

Àti pé a yí padà sí oorun.

Instead of prostration.

Dípò ìdọ̀balẹ̀.

We did not wake up except that the heat had faded.

A kò jí sayé, àyàfi ìgbàtí ooru tí lọ.

And the day had grown old.

Ọjọ́ náà ti dàgbà.

So we prepared for the prayer of the two mute ones.

Nítorí náà, a mura sí àdúrà àwọn aláìsọ̀rọ̀ méjì.

And we fulfilled what was due of the debt.

A sì san ohun tí ó yẹ́ láti inú gbèsè.

Then we hastened to depart.

Lẹ́yìn náà, a yara lọ.

To the place where the journey ends.

Sí ibi tí ìrìnàjò parí.
