الْمَقَامَةُ الْنصيبية

And they shook hands with Abu Iyas.

wọ́n sì fọwọ́ kan Abu Iyas.

Then bring upon them Abu Saru.

Lẹ́yìn náà, mú Abu Saru bá wọn.

For he is the epitome of nobility.

Nítorí pé ó jẹ́ àpẹẹrẹ ìyì.

He said: His son understood the subtleties of his symbols.

Ó sọ pé: Ọmọ rẹ̀ gbọ́ agbọye àwọn ìtànkálẹ̀ àwọn àmì rẹ̀.

With the delicacy of his discernment.

Pẹ̀lú irọrun ìmòye rẹ̀.

So he brought us the good and the fragrant.

Nítorí náà, ó mú àwọn nǹkan rere àti àwọn tí ó dùn wá fún wa.

Until the sun signaled its setting.

Títí tí oorun fi ń múra làti wọ

When we gathered to bid farewell.

Nígbà tí a kó jọ láti dágbére

We said to him: Did you not see this wonderful day?

A sọ fún un pé: Ṣé o kò rí ọjọ́ àgbàyanu yìí?
