الْمَقَامَةُ الْنصيبية

Títí tí ó fi fẹrẹ́ gba aṣọ ìgbésí ayé kúrò lórí rẹ̀.

Ó wá fi í lé Abú Yáhàyá lọ́wọ́ (Iku).

Nítorí náà, mo rí fún pípàdánù ìpàdé rẹ

And the cessation of his nourishment.

Àti ìparí ìtọ́jú rẹ̀.

What the one far from his goal feels.

Ohun tí ẹni tí ó jìnnà sí ibi ìfọkànsìn rẹ̀ ń rí.

And the nursing child at weaning.

Àti ọmọ tó ń mu ọmú nígbà tí wọ́n bá gbá ọmú lẹ́nu rẹ̀.

Then it was rumored that his pledge had been closed.

Lẹ́yìn náà, wọ́n sọ pé ẹjẹ (àdéhùn) rẹ̀ ti di mọ́.

And the claw of death had clung to him.

Àti pé ìkà iku ti di mọ́ ọn.

So his companions worried due to the rumors of the alarmists.

Nítorí náà, àwọn ọ̀rẹ́ rẹ̀ bẹ̀rù nítorí àwọn ìròyìn àwọn tó ń dá ìbẹ̀rù.

And they rushed to his courtyard in haste.

Wọ́n sì rọ̀ sí àgbàlá rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú ìyára.
