"Kí ẹ máa sì wá àyípadà lọ́dọ̀ ẹnikẹ́ni lẹ́yìn mi."
"Know that the craft of prose writing is the most exalted."
"Ẹ mọ̀ pé ìṣẹ̀dá nípa àròkọ jẹ́ eyi tó ga jù lọ."

Àti pé ìṣẹ̀dá ìṣirò jẹ́ èyí tó wúlò jù lọ.

Kàlámù tí a ń lò fún lẹ̀ta jẹ́ àlálàyé.
And the pen of accounting is a gatherer of words.
Kàlámù ìṣirò jẹ́ olùkójọpọ̀ (oríṣiríṣi ọ̀rọ̀).
