الْمَقَامَةُ الْفُرَاتِيَّةُ

And the tales of eloquence are copied to be studied.

Àwọn àló onímọ̀ràn ni a ṣe ẹda rẹ̀ fún ìkọ́ni.

And the manuals of accounts are deleted and scrapped off.

Àwọn ìwé àkọsílẹ̀ ìṣirò ni wọn má ń yọ, tí wọn sì má ń paarẹ.

The prose writer is the source of news.

Onkọ̀wé àròkọ ni orísun ìròyìn.

And the bearer of secrets.

Àti àpò ìkọ̀kọ̀.

And the confidant of the great.

Àti ọ̀rẹ́ àwọn olókìkí.

And the chief of companions.

Àti olórí àwọn ẹlẹgbẹ́.

His pen is the tongue of the state.

Kàlámù rẹ̀ jẹ́ èdè fún ìjọba.

And the knight of the round.

Àti ọdẹ nípàdé.

And the sage of wisdom.

Àti Lukumọ́nù ọlọ́gbọn.

And the interpreter of determination.
